peripheral neuropathy

Neuropathy is a painful condition involving damage and inflammation of the peripheral nerve pathways. There are many possible causes, especially from Diabetes, auto immune disease, or side effects from certain medications. Peripheral Neuropathy typically effects the hands and/or feet and includes a burning or stabbing sensation, often with severe pain, and sometimes accompanied by tingling. Acupuncture has been shown to be an effective treatment for peripheral neuropathy pain and can be a great addition to conventional medical treatments. A course of 5-10 acupuncture treatments can often result in great improvement and lessening of the pain. Robert has successfully treated many cases of peripheral neuropathy at his Seattle Acupuncture clinic. If you are suffering from peripheral neuropathy pain, acupuncture would be a reasonable approach to reduce the pain.
