Acupuncture for carpal tunnel and hand pain
Help for carpal tunnel syndrome and overuse pain in the wrist, hand and forearm.
Carpal tunnel syndrome and many kinds of forearm, wrist and hand pain can respond well to acupuncture.
Carpal tunnel syndrome happens when a nerve that runs through a narrow passage in the wrist gets squeezed. It can cause pain, numbness and tingling in the hand and fingers. Overuse can also bring on aching and soreness in the wrist and forearm.
A modern problem
With so much time spent on computers and phones, hand and wrist pain has become commonplace. Overuse patterns and poor ergonomic setups are often part of the cause. Long hours of typing, mousing and scrolling all add up.
Looking at your workstation and daily habits can help ease the strain, alongside treatment.
How Robert treats hand and wrist pain
Robert has treated many common forms of hand, wrist and arm pain at his Seattle acupuncture clinic. He practices Toyohari, a Japanese style of acupuncture that uses careful pulse reading, very fine needles and gentle contact.
A standard course of treatment is five to ten sessions to see the best results.
Pain in the arm and hand sometimes starts higher up. If you also have stiffness or pain in your neck or shoulder, see neck and shoulder pain.
