Acupuncture for children
Gentle, non-insertion Shonishin treatment for babies, children and teens.
Robert uses Shonishin to treat children. Shonishin is a gentle Japanese style of acupuncture developed especially for children. It uses light contact on the skin instead of inserted needles.
In this non-insertion, pain-free style, Robert uses a special gold needle with a rounded tip. The needle does not go into the skin.
How Shonishin can help
Children tend to respond well to Shonishin. Many common childhood health problems can often improve within three to five sessions. These include:
- bedwetting
- digestive upset
- ear infections
Shonishin can also help with the everyday aches and pains, bruises and sprains of childhood.
For ear infections and other illnesses, acupuncture works alongside care from your child’s pediatrician, not instead of it.
Ages Robert sees
Robert has treated many children, from as young as six months old through the teenage years.
