Acupuncture for anxiety
Calming support for ongoing worry, tension and the physical symptoms of anxiety.
Anxiety is a state of fear or worry that can get in the way of daily life. It can also cause real physical symptoms that affect your health.
Some anxiety is a normal part of living in the modern world. Chronic anxiety is different. It can bring irritability, insomnia, muscle tension, pain and many other symptoms. It is a serious health issue that deserves care.
How acupuncture can help
Many patients find that acupuncture brings a deep sense of calm and relaxation.
With consistent treatment, acupuncture can help many people with mild to moderate anxiety feel calmer and more at ease from day to day.
Acupuncture works alongside, not instead of, care from a doctor or therapist. If you take medication for anxiety, make any changes to it only with the doctor who prescribed it.
Robert’s approach
Robert has worked with patients with many kinds of anxiety at his clinic in Seattle’s Eastlake neighborhood. He practices Toyohari, a Japanese style of acupuncture that uses careful pulse reading, very fine needles and gentle contact.
Robert sees one patient at a time. A first visit takes about 75 minutes, and return visits take about 45 minutes.
Anxiety often comes with poor sleep and everyday stress. You may also want to read about insomnia and stress and relaxation.
